Legal Compliance

Musketeers are special folk. They must have obtained a NSW (or other relevant Australian state) Firearms licence, and be able to drill and fire their matchlock musket in appropriate 17th Century drill fashion. This requires some specific training, which the Routiers can provide.

Knives and swords used in reenactment are also under regulatory control in most states and importation of these items is strictly controlled by Australian Customs, the Federal Police and the Department of Trade and Investment.

Questions about how to obtain a relevant Firearms license or weapons permit or exemption, and how to obtain a reproduction 17thC matchlock musket or other weapons can be directed to the Committee.
